Overview : The contracted firm will provide media monitoring services for the Ministry of Justice Public Legal Awareness Unit, which will include daily monitoring of national and local print media and electronic media (including radio, television, web based news and social media), summaries of all keyword mentions, tracking qualitative value of media mentions, and thematic analysis of the overall trends in the Afghan media’s presentation of the justice sector and human rights.
The parameters of the media monitoring (keywords, spokespersons and agencies) will be determined in consultation with the Head of the Ministry of Justice Public Legal Awareness Unit and UNDP Justice and Human Rights in Afghanistan staff.
The selected firm will be required to deliver the following outputs:
· Inception Report with key words and thematic areas, spokespersons and agencies identified, in consultation and agreement with the Head of the Ministry of Justice Public Legal Awareness Unit and UNDP JHRA staff.
· Weekly reports on media coverage, including:
o Summary of articles containing media mentions
o Original clippings from print and/or electronic media (subscriptions to be provided by contracted firm)
o
o Narrative analysis of media mentions by theme
· Monthly reports on media coverage, including:
o Share of voice
o Positive/negative representation of messages
o Overall thematic analysis
One dedicated focal point within the contracted firm will be assigned to provide instructional presentations to Ministry of Justice Public Legal Awareness Unit staff on weekly and monthly media monitoring and analysis reports |
