| Overview : UNDP Capacity Strengthening Initiative (CSI) in Libya is aimed to support the Libyan Government institutions in general and the Ministry of Planning in particular. This will be through the provision of technical advice, sharing best international practices, facilitating the transfer of knowledge, and enhancing institutional capacity of key ministries in areas of policy formulation, strategic planning, inter-ministerial coordination and management of work processes.
To enhance English language skills of staff working in the Technical Cooperation departments in the Ministry of Planning and the line Ministries.
In specific, the objectives of the English Language Training will be to:
- To enhance staff capacities to communicate effectively with international development counterparts (i.e., embassies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, etc) especially with regards to discussions, negotiations and review of cooperation agreements with the respective line ministries;
- To enhance staff capacities to review, understand and comment on documents of international relevance and negotiate with counterparts;
- To broaden staff capacities to access knowledge pertaining to their work through internet and media; |
