Overview : The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nations' global development network. It advocates for change and connects countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP operates in 177 countries, working with nations on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and its wide range of partners.
Commencing in 2011, the UNDP Barbados and the OECS Subregional Office has been implementing a Youth Innnovaiton (Youth-IN): A Caribbean Network for Youth Development project, which focuses on: youth inclusion, youth innovation, youth interest and youth involevemment. The project addresses the challenges of young people in the region (aged 15 to 29) and enhances their opportunities to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities and nations.
At present the UNDP Barbados and the OECS office is seeking to hire a Consultant or Team of Consultants to conduct a midterm evaluation that will cover the initiating and implementation phases of the project to determine the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of outcomes achieved.
