| Overview : UNDP Vietnam seeks proposals from qualified service provider for Organization package of training of trainers (ToT) in Vietnam.
The ToT organization package is initiated by the UNDP Viet Nam as the Implementation Agency of the PA project, which aims at supporting the Biodiversity Conservation Agency (BCA) of Vietnam Environmental Administration (VEA) of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) to strengthen legal and technical capacity in biodiversity conservation and PA management nation-wide by establishing an advancing and well-trained force of key-multipliers of central and provincial involving key agencies through substantial ToT courses. That capacity will be extended to a wide range of knowledge and instruments that to be provided in the following subjects, such as:
a. organizational and institutional system, policy and legal framework for biodiversity conservation in Vietnam;
b. provincial biodiversity conservation planning;
c. PA management plan, business plan and sustainable financing development;
d. Report on PA biodiversity status;
e. PA biodiversity indicators and monitoring (system) development;
f. integrating biodiversity into environmental impact assessment; and
g. management and control of alien invasive species in PAs.
The key objective of this consultancy package is to assist BCA to coordinate and facilitate, in cooperation with trainers who developed training materials to adapt, finalize training materials; to organize ToT courses and to widely disseminate and transfer to relevant universities and institutions.
The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
