Overview : The Resident Coordinator (RC) as the “public face” of the United Nations has the overall responsibility of the UN’s strategic communication in Belize. In undertaking this responsibility the RC relies on the UN Country Team (UNCT) for strategic advice and support including the development of a communication strategy and plan for the UNCT.
The UNCT Communication Strategy and Plan takes into account national and regional priorities that identify new and creative ways to show how the UN System in Belize is delivering results, emphasizing inter-agency collaboration and promoting a coherent image of the United Nations in Belize.
This UNCT Communication Strategy and Plan should be clearly linked to the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) as a complimentary tool to demonstrate the UN System delivery of results for the period 2013 – 2016.
