Procurement Notice GBV & Human Rights Consultant
Overview : The UNDP, in collaboration with the Government of Papua New Guinea, has launched the project, “Coordinated and sustainable response to GBV and FSV”. Through addressing GBV/FSV, the project aims to ensure that women, men, boys and girls have increased opportunities to access services, resources, rights and decision-making processes without discrimination, through equal participation and benefits from economic, social and political development in Papua New Guinea. One of the core components of the project is to strengthen the skills of non-governmental actors to raise awareness and refer incidents related to GBV/FSV in accordance with international human rights standards, national legal frameworks and agreed referral pathways. The UNDP therefore seeks to obtain the services of a consultant to conduct an assessment of the current strengths of community champions/human rights defenders working on GBV/FSV issues, and the challenges they face; develop interactive human rights based training modules. The consultant will also facilitate trainings and draft a Manual for Human Rights Defenders working on GBV/FSV in Papua New Guinea.
