| Overview : The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Somalia invites registered International and Local/National Companies, to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for prequalification and participate in the Provision of Third Party Monitoring Services in Somalia.
Objectives: UNDP Somalia hopes to establish partnerships with registered and recognized companies in order to provide third party monitoring services for its projects in Somalia; the objectives and purpose are:
(1) Undertake 35 TPM visits in Somalia.
(2) Verify whether the activities contracted are implemented. Through this CHF Somalia is able to satisfy the minimum standard of demonstrating that its implementing partners are doing what they committed to do.
(3) Obtain independent information about the quality of achieved outputs. The TPM contractor will employ technically sound cluster-specific guidelines. This contributes to quality assurance through contractor expressing the opinion about the implemented outputs, which is shared with CHF Somalia and other stakeholders.
(4) Obtain independent information about the direction of activities and effectiveness of the funded intervention during its implementation

The Expression of Interest and accompanying documents must be received no later than 17.00 hours (Kenyan time) on Wednesday 8th October 2014.

EOI from Companies failing to provide the complete information to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria will be considered non-responsive. This EOI will form the basis for a pre-qualified short-list of International and National/Local Companies. The next process will be conducted in accordance with the procedure set out in the UNDP Programme and Procurement Guidelines and UNDP Financial Rules and Regulations.
This EOI does not entail any commitment on the part of UNDP, either financial or otherwise. UNDP reserve the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant/s of the grounds. |
