| Overview : ***The deadline for this notice has been extended to THURSDAY, 23RD OCTOBER 2014***The present Terms of Reference is related to the employment and contracting of an experienced individual in the area of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), telecommunications and CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) compliant Early Warning Systems (EWS) {backbone, sirens, PC broadcast alerting, Radio Data Systems (RDS), Short Message Service (SMS), radio interrupt, etc}. This service is part of the Community Based Early Warning System project in Barbados implemented by the Government of Barbados with administrative and technical support being provided by the UNDP Barbados and the OECS Sub Regional Office and the Caribbean Tsunami Information Centre (CTIC). This initiative is financed by the United States Agency for International Development, Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA). |
