| Overview : The overall goal of the intended consultancy service is therefore to develop a CBDRM manual that presents simple and applied community-friendly methodologies through which at-risk communities can identify, analyze, respond to, and monitor and evaluate disaster risks.
Given the above stated objectives of the assignment thus, the consultant will develop a CBDRM manual that considers the following key aspects among others.
1. A brief review of major disaster risks in the country along with their implication on Resilience Building.
2. Process of CBDRM in terms of planning, community involvement, participatory disaster risk identification, Implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
3. Simplistic and applied community-friendly methodologies through which at-risk communities can identify, analyze, respond to, and monitor and evaluate disaster risks.
4. Gaps and good practices so far in the country in terms of employing CDDRM
5. Policy and Programmatic considerations as to how to introduce effective CBDRM
6. Strategies for strengthening and putting in place responsive institutional mechanisms and capacities for effective CBDRM.
7. Proposed financing options for effective CBDRM at national level. |
