| Overview : UNDP under the GAVI HSS grant 2014 – 2016, proposes to address some of the issues mentioned above by the development of an integrated solution that aims to provide real time information of vaccines stocks at the various level of the Routine Immunization Programme as well as have real time information on the temperature at the various level of storage in three states of the country namely Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
The Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network or eVIN system to be established in all the of the districts of Rajasthan, MP and UP will rely on strategic use of technology and strengthening existing mechanisms with regards to the storage, transport and availability of vaccines at different levels.
The essential ingredients of the project are divided into three core areas
1. The technology – the software solution and its use
2. The Human Resources and building capacity
3. Temperature Monitoring system
