ACCESS TO JUSTICE AND RULE OF LAW PROJECT

Request for Proposals (RFP) for Small Grants

Background: Request for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) including NGOs and/or CBOs for application of Small Grants to conduct dialogue and awareness raising in transitional justice

Deadline for proposal submission: 20 April 2015

  1. Background

The United Nations Development Programme South Sudan (UNDP) Support to Access to Justice and Rule of Law Programme hereby invites CSOs/NGOs to submit proposals to research, conduct dialogue and raise awareness in transitional justice.

UNDP intends to support dialogue on transitional justice among civil society, government stake holders, traditional leaders and the wider community, and create a common understanding of transitional justice processes that are relevant and founded on national ownership. These dialogues will create awareness and common ground as to transitional justice processes that are relevant to the context of South Sudan. In this regard, it is intended to award small grants to CSOs to lead a series of dialogues, workshops, and public lectures, radio talk shows on transitional justice and disseminate the proceedings and findings as policy briefs, research papers or working documents.
