Overview : The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ethiopia Country Office is strengthening its engagement and focus on Sustainable Development of Protected Areas. As a knowledge organization, it hopes to upscale or replicate Project Best practice related to Protected Area Management. The Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority is responsible for the management of 13 National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries, administers the hunting industry and fulfils regulatory functions. With the Sustainable Development of the Protected Area System of Ethiopia (SDPASE), GEF/UNDP supports capacity building in EWCA and the wildlife sector as a whole. One of its expected outcome of the project is the replication of good practices across the protected area estate. SDPASE has developed best practises since its inception in 2008, however, a systematic compilation is deemed necessary to upscale /replicate in other Protected Areas. Hence, UNDP is seeking the services of National Individual Consultant who has the required expertise to provide the consultancy for the captioned service. |
