Overview : In the framework of this project UNDP and UNICEF seek the services of an experienced contractor to undertake a Multi-Country Mapping and Behavioral Study focusing on population size estimates, HIV risk vulnerability and access to HIV and STI prevention care and treatment services among marginalized and key populations in the participating countries. This mapping and behavioral study is jointly commissioned by UNDP and UNICEF. UNDP is the Principal Recipient of the Global Fund Grants for the Western Pacific. The integrated TB/HIV grant covers 11 countries: Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The timeframe for implementation of the grant is: 1 July 2015 – 31 December 2017 (2.5 years). The project is implemented in partnership with Ministries of Health in each country, guided in its implementation by the Regional Technical Working Group, which comprises UN agencies and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), and is overseen by the Pacific Islands Regional Multi-Country Coordinating Mechanism (PIRMCCM) through the Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs). UNICEF, UNFPA, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and the respective Ministries of Health, are leading the implementation of a Pacific Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme (PRSRHP) in five countries: Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu on behalf of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The timeframe for implementation is: 1 September 2014 – 30 August 2019. The programme is guided by the PRSRHP Regional Steering Committee which is comprised of senior representatives from each of the stakeholder organizations. |
