Overview : a. Purpose The purpose of the contract is to provide a normative, institutional, and technical analysis through the development of a Feasibility Study on the Possibilities of Linking the Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) Registration Systems South East Europe, namely those of: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. b. Objective The objective of the contract is to present the marking, tracing, and record-keeping capacities of the EUSAC project beneficiaries by conducting a normative, institutional, and technical capacity evaluation. On the basis of these findings, the contracted entity would conduct an appropriate qualitative and quantitative analysis in the form of a Feasibility Study on the Possibilities of Linking the SALW Registration Systems of South East Europe, with a clear set of recommendations for further action. * References to Kosovo shall be understood to be in the context of Security Council resolution 1244 (1999). |
