| Overview : INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID Construction of Community Evacuation Center for Basey, Eastern Samar The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites Contractors to apply for eligibility and to bid for the “Construction of Community Evaluation Centers for Basey, Eastern Samar”, an activity under the UNDP Project entitled “Recovery and Resilience in the Visayas” The construction of the two-storey concrete Community Evacuation Centers (CECs) aims to improve the sustainable recovery of selected communities in the Visayas Region VIII devastated by Typhoon Yolanda, while strengthening their resilience and preparedness for future calamities and natural disasters. These buildings will be constructed in greenfields with adequate access. The Bidding Documents shall contain all instructions on the rules, procedures, dates and other schedules for the pre-bid conference and opening of bid envelopes, as well as further details on the scope of services required. UNDP reserves the right to reject any or all the bids, waive any defect or informality therein, accept the bid and award the contract to the most advantageous offer to the UNDP, for and in behalf of the project.
