Overview :

The UNDP Gambia CO seeks to employ a part-time International Technical Advisor (ITA) to provide technical advice, guidance and support to the Project Management Unit which will be based in the Department of Parks & Wildlife Management (Project Office) in Banjul.  The ITA will work closely with the Project Manager and Nema Project, and report to the PEB through UNDP.

The ultimate Objective of the International Technical Advisor is to advise, guide and support the PMU, Project Manager and the entire Project Team including all implementing partners, so they can achieve the project Outputs, Outcomes and Objective successfully.

Key Results and Measurable Outputs Expected from the ITA

Working under the overall supervision of the Project Executive Board and UNDP Environment Programme Analyst to whom he/she will report, the ITA will work collaboratively with the PM for the delivery of the project outcomes and activities in accordance with the project document and agreed work plan.  He/she will travel to The Gambia and project localities, as and when required and agreed.  He/she will also be available for consultation and advice electronically from home base.  The total engagement is expected to be between 30 and 40 working days per year.
