Overview

Description of the assignment:To support Election Commission, Nepal (ECN) through UNDP ESP by editing the book “NepalKo NIrwachan Itihas” for the final printing. The consultant is required to work under direction of ESP and Legal Division of the ECN and perform following tasks:

• Read content and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar of the document (around 700 pages - A4 size including tables).
• Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces
• Verify facts using standard reference sources
• Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
• Allocate space for the text, photos, and illustrations that make up a story
• As required coordinate with designers and print house for final printing

Period of assignment/services (if applicable): Period of assignment/services (if applicable): The duration of assignment is for maximum (90 days) of three months (commencing from Mid-August 2016 to October 2016) including home base.
