OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The overall objective of the study is to identify context-specific, conflict sensitive approaches to the design, establishment and management of a Women Enterprise Fund in South Sudan

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. To take stock of opportunities available for supporting women entrepreneurial development

2. The investigate the awareness and perception of women about financial services in South Sudan

3. The identify barriers to women entrepreneurial development in South Sudan

4. To make a gender responsive analysis of the financial institutions in South Sudan

5. To develop a model for Women’s Enterprise Fund for South Sudan

6. To propose viable options for the management of Women’s Enterprise Fund in South Sudan

7. To provide the best option for using the new communications technologies to operationalize the Fund

8. To develop a Communication strategy for the dissemination of the Women’s Enterprise Fund

SCOPE OF WORK

The Consulting Firm will:

1. Conduct a Literature Review on the economic situation in South Sudan and the status of women entrepreneurs
2. Propose a methodology for the consultancy and present chronological steps for the activity plan
3. Building from other economic and fund models, suggest a new improved design for the WEF for South Sudan
4. Design a Communications Strategy for the implementation of WEF, using tradition media instruments and well as new technologies
5. Plan and lead a validation workshop
6. Develop and submit a comprehensive report of the consultancy
