In response to Bidders, the Country Office received numerous request for clarification. Keeping in view the complexity of the Project as well as various requests received from prospective bidders, to extend the deadline of bid submission, all the interested bidders are informed that the deadline for submission of Bids has been extended till 12 October 2016, 14:00 hours, Iraq Time. Scope of Work for Installation of 132kV Transmission Line 45Km between Tal-Awainat and Sinuni District.

1-  Background:

The project located in the northwest of Ninawa governorate, the Transmission Line path starts from mobile Substation in Tal-Awainat to Al-Aruba crossroad in Sinuni District for a distance of 45Km according to attached drawings, alignment and coordinate. all perspective contractors shall visit the project site prior to the submission of their bids.

2- :  work details:

2.1- Concrete foundation:

Contractor to supply and execute concrete foundation works (pads and chimney) for all 147   towers with different type (2S2, 2T2, 2E2) as shown on the drawings and as per specifications, please refer to Annex (A), Annex B  and Annex C,  works should include the followings:

1- Prepare shop drawings for the towers foundation, including surveying works to identify the level of the tower foundation.

2- Excavation for foundation based on dimension and level required in all type of soil.

3- 10cm lean concrete under the base of foundation and applying bitumen coating.

4- Steel reinforcement "Supply and erect "as per drawings and technical specification, work includes the installation of template at the required level, installing and connecting earthling system prepared by the contractor in accordance with MOE technical specification, drawings and the engineer direction.

5- Casting reinforced concrete with concrete compressive strength 255kg/cm² at 28 days, works includes form works, materials, manpower, concrete curing   and all related works to complete the Job.

6-  Bitumen water proofing " 2 coat " for all concrete surface of the foundations.

7- Backfilling with approved suitable material in layers not exceeding 25cm each layer and degree of compaction 98%.

8- Leveling and cleaning towers site.

9-   Works includes taken samples for all construction materials, concrete cubes samples, soil maximum dray density. samples to be taken to the national construction laboratory to ensure compliance with Iraqi standard technical specifications. All at the contractor own expenses. 

10- Contractor shall be provided with 1 template for each type of tower, and in case template not available, casting shall take place using tower directly.

                2.2 - Installation of Towers

1 - The contractor shall be supplied with towers components, and the contractor shall be responsible for the delivery of all towers from the project store near Zummer to the project site, works includes loading, transporting and unloading towers including steel bars as bundles and bolts as boxes.

2- Contractor shall provide, all the necessary machinery manpower, to construct the towers as per specifications and drawings, contractor to ensure, Installations of towers must be in straight line, and far from any ground contamination. Contractor to take all necessary precautions when unloading towers not to damage the tower steel or the galvanized paint Annex (D, E & F) 

3- Welding of Nuts up to 5m from ground level.

 

                2.3 - Wiring work includes

Wiring installation for the 2 lines from tower No. 1 type 2E2 near Tel-Awainat to tower No 147 type 2E2, from the north wire  type ACSR TEAL single,  6 in numbers. and ground wire single type DORKING 16mm according to MOE technical specification applicable to installation H.T transmission line work. Annex (H & I).

Works should includes:

  • Loading transporting and unloading all materials from project warehouse near Zummar to tower site.
  • Wiring installation including insulation connection and all accessories on the tower. The line is 2 circuit type with single core 6 numbers “Made of Reinforced Aluminum ACSR 25mm Dia" and ground wire Type DORKING.
  • Contractor to provide all equipment’s and machinery for this work including cable roles and termination tools.
  • Contractor to provides surveyor with survey instruments to measure wire sag according to MOE specification.
  • Contractor to Make all joint termination JUMPERS and connect all line adapters VIB DAMP with all work needs to complete connection the two lines According MOE standard technical specifications.     

3- Storage:

 

It's the Contractor responsibility to prepare and find suitable location for storing all construction material including Steel towers and its accessories.  The wining contractor should be fully aware that during the period of performance the contractor shall bear all responsibility for all received material from MOE supervisor. Contractor is responsible to open road for tower foundations. It's the contractor responsibility to assign guards and security at the contractor own expenses.

4-  Contract Duration

1 - Contract duration 6 months in calendar days starting from NTP "Notice to Proceed " 3 days after signing the contract.

2- Liquated damages and penalty shall Not exceed 10% of contract values. 

3- Contractor to submit detailed schedule work plan.

 

5-  Others

1- The Contract is subjected to meeting the required specifications of Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineers.
