| Overview : The overall objective of the Project is to strengthen the commitment and capacity of the community to address the issue of sanitation and solid liquid waste management through proper drainage system in order to make the Ganga clean from all such effluent and protection of ground water bodies. The alternative livelihood options will help the community for stopping migration and use more the facilities generated out of this program. The program will also aim to environment protection and developing partnership with other donor agencies like state govt agencies, CSR (private /public sector) and local NGOs to boost the program with more holistic livelihood approach, with a vision to make the project a model project and eye opener for others. It is challenging and demanding Job vested to UNDP where the project period is only 30 months and also seasonal based/ oriented to reach its benefits to almost 249,000 beneficiaries. The proposed RFP is to Design, Supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Bio-digesters for disposal of excreta in flood affected area in Sahibganj, Jharkhand.
