A versão inglês é a legalmente válida REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Community Outreach for HIV and AIDS through Health Activists Supporting Health Facilities For UNDP as Principal Recipient of Global Fund HIV Grant in Angola. Angola has a population of 26 million people, with 50% under the age of 15. The prevalence of HIV among adults 15-49 years was estimated at 2% in 2013. Heterosexual contact is the principal mode of HIV transmission in Angola. While HIV prevalence and HIV/TB co-infection rates are currently lower than in other SADC countries, the preoccupying factors are: the high estimated mother to child transmission, the low estimated adherence of patients on ARVs, the non-inclusion of key populations in the National Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS and the lack of systemic handling of co-infection HIV/TB. The new HIV grant of the Global Fund in Angola will focus on tackling these issues. It is in view of this that this Request For Proposal - RFP is launched calling for qualified and legally registered Civil Society Organizations ( Health related entities, NGOs/Churches ) to submit offers to carry out the activities encompassing the Terms of Reference under this RFP within the established deadline.
