Overview :

Background:

The Act establishing the National Peace council (NPC), Act 2011, (Act 818) also establishes a Peace Fund (Section 20). The Peace Fund is established, to supplement government’s funding capacity to enable the NPC realize its mandate of preventing, managing, and resolving conflicts to sustain the peace of the country. A peaceful environment is key, and indeed the base for human as well as socioeconomic development. It is only in the environment of peace that the state, the private sector and civil society can make strategic planning for holistic socio economic development. All development actors in Ghana, including, government, the public and private sectors, Investors, Development Partners, Tourists, and students stand to benefit from a peaceful Ghana. The purpose of the Peace Fund therefore, is to aid conflict resolution and peace-building institutions and to promote conflicts resolution and peace building activities in Ghana

Scope of Work:

•Comprehensively review and finalize the draft framework already developed by the NPC for the management of the Peace Fund.

•Consult relevant stakeholders for information and input that will assist to produce a framework that will ensure an effective and efficient Peace Fund for the NPC.

•Identify and consider local and international best practices on the establishment and management of peace fund framework

Education:

  • Advanced university degree (masters or above) in Business or Finance Administration, social science or any relevant field.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of progressive professional experience in the field of Business or Financial Management/Administration or areas relevant to this task.
  • Previous experience in the development of Peace Fund or Funds in general is a real asset...

  • Financial Proposal in pdf under file name: GHA-IC-2017-018 – FP - [insert  Name]

Please note that these proposals shall be submitted to the designated secured email into two files but in one email unless both Files are Greater than 9MB file size
