Overview :

In partnership with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, under the GAVI HSS grant 2014-2017, UNDP designed and implemented Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network (eVIN) to enable real time information on cold chain temperatures and vaccine stocks and flows. This Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network or eVIN system relies on strategic use of technology and strengthening existing mechanisms with regards to the storage and availability of vaccines at different levels.

In the state of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, UNDP set-up eVIN solution to provide (a) real time information of vaccines stocks at the various level of the Routine Immunization Programme as well as have (b) real time information on the temperature at the various level of storage, across all the vaccine stores and cold chain points.

  1. Objective of the Assessment

To improve the logistic management and planning for the last mile, an in-depth knowledge of vaccine logistic management system from CCPs to SSs will be essential.

The objective of this assignment is to systematically assess the district and below district level public health facilities, vaccine stores and cold chain points, to map and document details of session sites and ANMs.
