| Overview : The quote should be submitted to: bpps.procurement@undp.org Interpretation Services UNDP and partners will host a high-level event on June 19th 2017 then a two-day roundtable on 20 & 21 June 2017, in Oslo, Norway to launch the Interfaith Rainforest Initiative. UNDP, NICFI and Rainforest Foundation Norway are working with a coalition of partners on the Interfaith Rainforest Initiative to protect the world’s tropical rainforests. This initiative is being designed to mobilize leaders from all religions, faiths and spiritual traditions – including indigenous peoples and forest communities – to forge a united action plan to protect, restore and sustainably manage tropical rainforests across the planet. The Interfaith Rainforest Initiative launch will take place in Oslo on 19 June 2017, followed by a two-day roundtable on 20 & 21 June 2017 to develop the initiative's concrete goals, action plans and milestones. This process is expected to lead to a global interfaith rainforest summit to be convened in Brazil in the second half of 2018. As can be seen in the schedule, interpretation will be needed for two full days and one half day. Equipment will be required for three days in two locations. Some flexibility is expected with regard to the timings as the complete agenda is not yet finalized and will be subject to change at short notice. Requirements: - Simultaneous Interpretation Services: English - Spanish - English and English – French - English.
- Interpreters are expected to provide simultaneous interpretation during the specified sessions and events on the mentioned dates and times. The objective of this assignment is to provide high standard, accurate, consistent and original simultaneous interpretation. Full day equals 8 hours, half day is 4 hours.
- Equipment for simultaneous interpretation as outlined above. Expected need is for 150 headsets on the first day and up to 60 headsets on the second and third days.
