Overview : ANNOUNCEMENT European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) "Producer Group and Value Chain Development" Syunik Marz About the Project The project is financed by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency to ensure efficient and sustainable agriculture, and is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the United Nations Development Programme. The project was launched in January 2015. The duration of the Project is 36 months. What will the Project provide? The Project supports in: establishment and strengthening of cooperatives, business capacity building, increase of the production volume, product development, technology upgrading, marketing, as well as introduction of best agricultural practices (drip irrigation, etc.) and disaster risk reduction (anti- hail nets, etc.) systems. What kind of producer groups is the Project looking for within the framework of this call? The groups in high-value non-traditional vegetables value chain suggesting innovative ideas (new technology, new product). Women and youth are encouraged to participate. Group selection criteria: The groups should be comprised of at least 5 members from different families, who live and carry out their activities in rural communities. The groups with more than 5 members will be given the priority. The group must be either: - a registered cooperative, - non-registered, i.e. non-formal, and newly formed group. The groups must demonstrate business orientation.
