At National levels for the “Enhancing Decentralization and Local Development Process in Mozambique” Project this support was provided through two line Ministries: The Ministry of State Administration, afterwards the Ministry of State Administration and Public Service, and through the Ministry Planning and Development, afterwards the Ministry of Economy and Finance. With regards to the “Local Economic Development for Increased Income and Livelihoods” this support was provided initially through the Ministry of State Administration and afterwards through the Ministry of Land Environment and Rural Development. In relation to the “Strengthening, Civil Society Participation in Policy Dialogue for Development” component 1, UNDP support at national level was provides through the Ministry Planning and Development, afterwards the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with the involvement with the APRM secretariat in some activities. The implementation of the “Strengthening, Civil Society Participation in Policy Dialogue for Development” component 2 was done through the CESC (Civil Society Learning and Capacity Building Center).
  • All projects under the local governance and local development portfolio were implemented through the National Implementation Modality implying therebefore related financial resources management and embedded technical support to the implementing agencies;
  • As the Country Programme Cycle 2012-2016 came to an end, UNDP intends to carry out a Final Evaluation of its Local Governance and Local Development support.
