Overview : INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE FRAMEWORK (UNDAF) CONSULTANT The UN system in Lesotho is represented by eight Resident agencies FAO, IOM, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO and WFP and 13 Non-Resident Agencies (NRAs) that are also contributors to the UN strategic support to the Government of Lesotho. In June 2017, the Government of Lesotho initiated the development of the National Strategic Development Plan II 2019-2023 (NSDP II) that will mainstream the SDGs. Based on the lessons learned from the current United Nations Development Action Plan (UNDAP) and the gap analysis undertaken, the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) agreed to develop a strategic United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) at outcome level for the period of 2019-2023. The UNDAF document will be drafted through a consultative process and finalized by end of December 2017 with signing envisaged for January 2018.
