| Overview : Tender Package: “Excavation, packaging, transport amd disposal of POP pesticides waste and heavily contaminated soil in Lam Hoa site, Quang Binh province” PMU: Viet Nam POPs and Sound Harmful chemicals management (PHCM) The objective of this assignment is to provide environmentally sound management of the POP-pesticides contaminated sites at various locations at the Quang Binh province through: - Excavation, collection and packaging of POP-pesticides, other hazardous chemical waste and heavily POP-pesticides contaminated soil with visible traces POP-pesticides - Transporting of all POP-pesticides, other hazardous chemical waste and heavily POP-pesticides contaminated soil with visible traces POP-pesticides in accordance with current regulations on transportation of hazardous wastes. - Disposal/treatment of all POP-pesticides, other hazardous chemical waste and heavily POP-pesticides contaminated soil with visible traces POP-pesticides in accordance with current regulations to eliminate and minimize risks to public health. The selection will be on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
