Description of the assignment: Administrative Assistant

Project name: UNMM

Period of assignment/services : October 2017 to December 2017

This position is part of the UN Monitoring Mechanism (UNMM) established by the United Nations Security Council (SC) through SC resolution 2165. It is located in the office of the UNMM in Amman, Jordan.

Under the overall guidance of the Head of Office and supervision of the Administrative and Finance Officer, the Administrative Assistant will provide support to the operations of the monitoring team, performing a variety of standard administrative processes ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. The Administrative Assistant is expected to promote a client, quality and results-oriented approach.

The Administrative Assistant will work in close collaboration with the local OCHA and UNDP offices and liaise with other UN agencies and national authorities as appropriate.
