| Overview : Procurement Notice No.: IC/TZA/2017/033 Project name: Access to Justice Duty Station: Dar es Salaam Eligibility: Qualified and Experienced National Consultants are invited to submit their proposals ‘’Women are highly encouraged to apply’’ Period of assignment/services: up to 21 working days Description of the assignment: Enhancing Criminal Justice Sector coordination and data management for a more inclusive, accountable and evidence-based policy and law-making processes. Description of Responsibilities (scope of the work) The following are the expected outputs for this evaluation. To undertake a mapping exercise of legal aid providers and define the role, geographic targets and coverage of legal aid services provided by different service providers in Tanzania; To identify, discuss and make recommendations on the nature, types and quality of the different types of legal aid services both required and available through various means in Tanzania; To inform on the geographic coverage and adequacy of legal aid services in determining and identifying geographic areas of priority based on need, the inadequacy and any other factors reinforcing the needs for legal aid services. To inquire into existing standards, ethical guidelines, and tools for monitoring and quality assurance which are at present used by legal aid service providers in monitoring service provision and ensuring that the services are in accordance with international standards.
