CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Grants to Civil Society Organizations for the implementation of activities listed in the work plan of the Referral Mechanism focusing on the role of women in the prevention of violent extremism or the role of youth on the prevention of violent extremism in the  Municipality of Gjilan/Gnjilane.

UNDP is launching a Call for proposals to local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the Municipality of Gjilan/Gnjilane to submit project proposals for “the implementation of activities in support to the Referral Mechanism and defined in the workplan of the Referral Mechanism and in particular in the field of

1) the role of women in prevention of violent extremism

2) the role of youth in prevention of violent extremism

Grants will be limited to the amount of:

• 15.000 USD for youth and PVE;

• 10.000 USD for women and PVE.

  and activities have to be implemented by the end of December 2017.

  NGOs are not permitted to cross apply for more one of the listed grants.

  NGO shall be Gjilan/Gnjilane based

  Priorities will be given to applications from: non-governmental organizations; local associations; and other civil society institutions carrying out activities that promote volunteerism and safer community activities in close cooperation with the referral mechanism.   Proposals must be developed in line with the activities described in the Call for Proposal Background Analysis of the guideline for application –sections 3, 4 and 5.  

  Organizations will have to provide strong evidence such as relevant and professional experience in community safety related projects in order to become eligible to compete for the grant.
