Country:  Nepal

Description of the assignment: UNDP is in the process of establishing a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with an International Advisor. The consultant will be selected for the LTA to provide technical advice in the following areas as per the detailed ToR:

1. Preparation for setting up Provincial Legislature
2. Assist project team in the implementation of the project outputs and activities.
3. Support to develop Knowledge-base and research capacity of LP  
4. Provide technical, policy and advisory services to MPs.
5. Knowledge product development

Number of consultant required: 1

Project name: UNDP/ Parliament Support Project (PSP)

Period of assignment/services (if applicable): Maximum 100, working days, under a Long-Term Agreement (LTA), over the period of 24 Months (1 Jan 2018 – 31 December 2019) with 7 visits and 30 days home based. The LTA will be initially for two years and is extendable for one additional year.

Duty Station: Kathmandu and home based.

Any delay in UNDP’s response shall be not used as a reason for extending the deadline for submission, unless UNDP determines that such an extension is necessary.
