The UNDP country programme for Jordan delivers direct policy and technical support to provide effective solutions to the development challenges of exclusion and vulnerability. In partnership with the Government of Jordan and other developmental partners, UNDP promotes a resilience-based approach that ensures sustainability, coherence and complementarity of results in support of the 2030 Agenda and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In its work on Inclusive Participation and Social Cohesion, UNDP develops effective mechanisms with all levels of decision-making – including the House of Representatives, governmental ministries, governorate councils and municipal authorities – to promote inclusive, accountable, transparent institutions that respond to the needs and priorities of citizens, as well as enabling grassroots initiatives that provide opportunities for access to justice, rule of law and prevention of violent extremism.  UNDP also supports the development of Resilient Communities and Livelihoods to address poverty and inequality, especially among vulnerable youth and women and host communities in crisis-affected areas.  On all areas, UNDP partners with the Government to enable an Institutional Framework for the Realization of the SDGs, including operationalization of an institutional planning framework with reporting of development results that includes comprehensive, disaggregated data and statistics, and to use such data to influence policy and inform evidence-based decision-making to ensure no one is left behind.  This work includes collaboration and integration with related UN national, regional and global activities, including the UNDP regional electoral support project.

To ensure the effective delivery of the country programme, UNDP Jordan seeks a Data Management and Visualization Specialist who will enable the innovative design and implementation of effective data management systems for programme activities and facilitate the availability of data in visualized formats to ensure access for all stakeholders. The Specialist will primarily provide support to the Inclusive Participation Team, especially a Decentralization project funded by the European Union, but also will support related work on social cohesion, resilience and reporting on achievement of SDGs, and on electoral activities.

Technical and financial proposals along with CV & 3 references should be submitted, and without such will not be considered.

(Only Short Listed Candidates will be contacted).
