Overview : MUNICIPALITY OF ISTOG/K, KAMENICË/A, LIPJAN/LIPLJAN, VITI/VITINA, ZVEÇAN/ZVEČAN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ANNOUNCES: PUBLIC CALL FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF PROJECT PROPOSALS WITHIN REGIONAL PROGRAMME ON LOCAL DEMOCRACY IN WESTERN BALKANS (ReLOaD) The Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD) is funded by the European Union and implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in six countries/territories in Western Balkans, including: Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Kosovo[1], the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The project was initiated in February 2017, and in the following 3-years period will aim to strengthen participatory democracies and the EU integration process in the Western Balkans (WB) by empowering civil society to actively take part in decision making and by stimulating an enabling legal and financial environment for civil society. The ReLOaD project in collaboration with the municipalities provides grant financing to CSOs to in a competitive, transparent, and targeted manner, to stimulate improvements in local service delivery and realization of local development priorities. 1. Municipality of Istog/k, Kamenicë/a, Lipjan/Lipljan, Viti/Vitina, Zveçan/Zvečan and ReLOaD project invite all civil society organizations (CSOs) in Kosovo to submit project proposals that are consistent with the development objectives of the respective municipality, and are addressing the priority areas of the respective municipalities. 2. Total value of scheduled call is up to 60,000.00 EUR. The project receives the right not to allocate all the funds, if project proposals do not meet the set criteria. Minimum amount of financial support that can be allocated for each individual project is 5,000.00 EUR, whereas maximum amount for a project is 35,000.00 EUR. 3. CSOs can submit only one project proposal under this call. 4. Deadline for submitting proposals is 14.03.2018. 5. ELIGIBILITY: Participation in this public call is open, on an equal basis, to all legally established CSOs (association/ organization or foundation in Kosovo and in accordance with the valid legal regulations. All interested CSOs can find detailed information on the conditions for applying and the criteria for funding of projects in the Guidelines for applicants, which is an integral part of the public call documentation. 6. DOCUMENTATION: All necessary information and an electronic version of the entire application package can also be found at the official respective municipal websites as well as on UNDP website (www.ks.undp.org). Application documentation for the Municipality of Istog/k, Kamenicë/a, Lipjan/Lipljan, Viti/Vitina, Zveçan/Zvečan public call will be available from 15.02.2018, by the means of sending an email request to the contact person at each municipality and/or registry.ks@undp.org, quoting the name of interested organization, or in person at municipal premises. 7. SUBMMITING APPLICATIONS: Completed applications (with all required documentation completed) must be submitted in the following form: key documents in three (3) hard copies; additional documents in one (1) hard copy; while all documents must be submitted in (1) one electronic copy (CD or USB stick), and placed in a sealed envelope referencing the public call, by registered mail or in person, during working days (Monday - Friday), from 09:00 to 15:00 hours to the municipal address. [1] For the European Union, all references to Kosovo should be understood in full compliance with Resolution 1244 (1999) and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence. For the United Nations, references to Kosovo shall be understood to be in the context of Security Council resolution 1244 (1999). |
