| Overview : UNDP Vietnam seeks for 07 national consultants on CBDRM and CBDRA for 07 provinces for Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, T.T.Hue, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Ca Mau. The project “Improving the resilience of vulnerable coastal communities to climate change related impacts in Viet Nam” is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project is designed to contribute to increase climate-resilient sustainable development through employing an integrated approach to ensure more climate resilient homes, strengthen natural defences through the regeneration of mangroves and improve planning through the integration of climate risk information. The project aims to rebuild 4000 houses and to regenerate 4000 hectares of mangroves. It also aims to increase the quality and accessibility of climate risk related information and therefore increase its utility in decision making. UNDP would like to mobilize a team of 07 experienced community trainers who will work with VNDMA, UNDP and other partners to carry out similar integrated trainings in 84 communes in the 7 provinces. The consultant team will be coordinated/deployed by Viet Nam Disaster Management Authority (VNDMA)/UNDP to provide all technical support to train the commune technical working groups established by the commune PPCs following Decision 1002. The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
