Overview :

UNDP Vietnam seeks for 1 National Consultant on Species and Genetic resources under the project Support to Eligible Parties to Produce the Sixth National Report (6NR) to the CBD (Asia).

Under the technical guidance and supervision of the team leader, UNDP Viet Nam and the Viet Nam Environment Agency, the national consultant on species and genetic resources will provide technical support to the development of the sixth national report on biodiversity.

 

The scope of works includes:

  • Data collection and analysis on the NBSAP implementation and biodiversity conservation focusing on species and genetic resources through desk review of secondary data/information and through support of the global project;
  • In collaboration with the GIS specialist, engage in data verification (if needed) and the collection of additional primary data (if required) via field missions that are identified during the actual development of the 6NR and advised by BCA/VEA and UNDP;
  • Translating data analysis into substance on species and genetic resources the 6NR.
