| Overview : UNDP Vietnam is seeking for 01 National Consultancy Firm to develop and pilot program on communication engagement and participation on wetland conservation and sustainable use in Thua Thien Hue. Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE), in cooperation with the Biodiversity Conservation Agency (BCA), Viet Nam Environmental Agency (VEA), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and Thua Thien Hue and Thai Binh provinces, is implementing a UNDP- GEF funded project entitled “Conservation of Critical Wetland Protected Areas and Linked Landscapes”- (Wetland CA) over a period from 2015 to 2018. The project provides technical assistance to the Government of Vietnam (GoV) to establish new wetland protected areas and to create capacities for their effective management to mitigate existing and emerging threats from connected landscapes. Project component are as follows: - Component 1 of the project will address gaps and weaknesses in the current PA system, institutional capacity and the current policy and regulatory framework in relation to wetlands conservation.
- Component 2 seeks to ensure that the wetland values are better understood and appreciated and that the principles and know-how for conservation and sustainable use of wetlands are enshrined both at the local level, by strengthening incentives for conservation-friendly livelihoods, and at the landscape level, by promoting wetlands-friendly land use and development planning.

Dự án “Bảo tồn các khu đất ngập nước quan trọng và sinh cảnh liên kết” (Dự án Đất ngập nước) do Quỹ Môi trường toàn cầu (GEF) tài trợ thông qua Chương trình phát triển Liên hiệp quốc (UNDP) trong 04 năm từ 2015-2018. Dự án sẽ hỗ trợ kỹ thuật cho Chính phủ Việt Nam trong việc thiết lập các khu bảo tồn đất ngập nước mới, xây dựng năng lực hệ thống, thể chế và vận hành để quản lý có hiệu quả và giảm thiểu các mối đe dọa đối với đa dạng sinh học từ các sinh cảnh liên kết.
