| Overview : Dear Sir/Madam: The purpose of this procurement exercise is to contract an individual consultant who will support the Crisis Response Unit with its critical tasks of deployments and supporting the infrastructure for these deployments. The Crisis Response Unit (CRU) is responsible for UNDP’s corporate crisis response strategy and capability. It develops and drives UNDP’s vision and priorities for crisis response, coordinates and facilitates UNDP’s crisis response with a whole-of-UNDP approach, provides oversight for all UNDP crisis response actions and ensures high quality engagement of the organization in crisis in general. Under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist (Deployments) and guidance of the Programme Advisor (Tools and Capacity Development), the Crisis Response and Deployments Consultant will: * Support of the deployment technical expertise for immediate crisis response and recovery requests with a geographic focus * Support the strengthening of partnerships and deployments through Standby Partners; * Contribute to CRU’s knowledge management products related to deployments and rosters: * Support the capacity building initiatives and enhancement of UNDP’s crisis response, recovery and preparedness roster: * Provide assistance to operational and coordination processes for the RRP Team.
