Overview : Bidding Announcement for the Development of Introductory Video and Brochure for “Payment for Watershed Services in the Chishui River Basin for the Conservation of Globally Significant Biodiversity Project” To whom it may concern, Developed and implemented by UNDP and Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (FECO), Ministry of Ecology and Environment in China, GEF Payment for Watershed Services in the Chishui River Basin for the Conservation of Globally Significant Biodiversity Project was officially incepted in Nov. 2014. The project’s goal is to contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of globally significant biodiversity in China. Its objective is to operationalize a replicable PWS scheme in the Chishui River Basin to stimulate land and natural resource use systems that conserve biodiversity and sustain ecosystem processes. The project aims to catalyze private sector financing for conservation, and the institutionalization of PWS as a watershed-based biodiversity conservation mechanism which at the same time delivers livelihood improvements in an equitable manner. This has potential to leverage significant additional funding to support sustainable land management and biodiversity conservation across China. To sharing the best practice guidelines, methodological protocols and lessons learned for scaling-up and replicating PWS in additional watersheds in the Chishui River Basin and other watersheds in China, an organization will be selected through competitive bidding for introductory video and brochure development. Relevant information and requirements are summarized as below: 1. Major Tasks (1) Make and submit working plan; (2)Select the materials of the previous project activities; (3)Develop the interview outline and conduct the interview with stakeholders in the pilot; (4)Develop the demo video and the draft brochure; (5)Submit the draft output for suggestion and revision; (6)Finalize the video and the brochure. 2. Major outputs (1)Introductory Video; (2)Introductory Brochure . 3. Time frame Starting from the day of contract-signing, all activities defined in Terms of Reference (TOR) should be completed in 7 weeks. 4. Qualifications and other requirements Please refer to the ToR attached. Any organizations interested shall contact FECO for RFP documents, and submit proposals to FECO before 17:00 29th Aug.2018. The proposal should comprise of technical proposal and financial proposal in separate sealed envelopes. An original set of proposal documents with the seal of your organization and 5 hard copies are required. Please note that proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted.
