| Overview : Enabling Solid State Lighting Market Transformation& Promotion of Light Emitting Diode Lighting Invitation to Bids Enabling Solid State Lighting Market Transformation & Promotion of Light Emitting Diode Lighting (SSLED) is an international cooperation project conducted by GEF, UNDP and Chinese government in the field of green lighting. This project aims to reduce energy consumption for lighting in China through the improvement of the quality and energy efficiency of lighting products, promote their application to save electricity and reduce the greenhouse gas emission directly or consequentially. This will be facilitated through the improvement of the quality and energy performance of locally produced solid state lighting (SSL) products. A carefully designed set of activities will be carried out under this Project to achieve the following outcomes: (1) Enabling of enhanced and strategic SSL technology and market developments based on comprehensively assessed and documented up-to-date status of the SSL industry and market in China; (2) Facilitation of support and incentives in the local production of quality SSL products, also in the application of SSL products compliant with established quality and energy performance standards; (3) Increased penetration rate of SSL products especially in the residential sector in China; and, (4) Enhanced quality and energy performance of locally produced SSL products both for the domestic and international markets. The project is expected to bring about increased utilization of SSL products in lighting system applications in China, with energy saving effect, and consequently contributes to the Chinese global climate change mitigation targets. The invitation to bids includes the following sub-contract(s): Study on 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of SSL Industry of China Submission of Proposal: Interested bidders are requested to send confirmation letter to SSLED Project Management Office (PMO) by email and indicate whether you intend to submit a proposal, no later than October 4, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Sub-contract proposals should be submitted to SSLED PMO before 5:00 pm, October 11, 2018 (Beijing time). Five copies of the Proposal (including technical and financial proposals) are required. Please carefully read the TOR for sub-contract and Request for Proposal (RFP) of SSLED project. Any discrepancy with TOR or RFP could result in a rejection. No matter succeed or not, the submitted proposal will not be returned. Following the procurement procedure of UNDP, SSLED PMO will invite experts to evaluate the submitted project proposals, and sign contract with a successful bidder according to the evaluation results.
