We hereby invite qualified consultancies to submit proposals for the Formulation of the National Mangrove Strategy.

 

Within the Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA+) Suriname Adaptation project, a National Mangrove Strategy will be formulated. This strategy will be a sound strategy for sustainable management of the mangrove ecosystem that will include among others, guidelines, best practices, draft regulations and opportunities for the sustainable use of services and goods, conservation and rehabilitation.

 

Financial Proposals should include cost for activities that will be organized nationally within the scope of the consultancy, such as field work for consultations and national workshops.

 

To apply for this consultancy, please submit your expression of interest in the form of a cover letter and CVs of all individuals in the team of consultants.

The cover letter should describe:

  • your motivation for applying for this consultancy;
  • a proposed work plan, encompassing the timeline in which the activities within the scope of work will be completed and corresponding deliverables will be submitted;
  • a financial overview; and
  • a description of the team composition and experience with similar tasks.

 

Please be guided by the Terms of Reference in preparing your proposal, which must be submitted in English no later than October, 21 2018 at 24.00h SUR Time via mail or email to:

Proposals should be valid for a minimum period of 3 months.

 

In submitting your proposal, it shall remain your responsibility to ensure that it reaches the e-mail address and the deadline as mentioned above.  Proposals that are received by the UNDP after the deadline, for whatever reason, shall not be considered for evaluation. Before submitting your proposal by e-mail, kindly ensure that it is signed and send in the pdf format.

 

Services proposed shall be reviewed and evaluated based on completeness and compliance of the proposal with the requirements of the ToR. The Proposal that complies with all of the requirements, meets all the evaluation criteria and offers the best value for money, shall be selected and awarded the contract. Any offer that does not meet the requirements shall be rejected.
