Overview :

The BCVAW project will end in Dec 2018. As part of the closure, the project has taken an initiative to arrange an University based student activation for one day at 4 participant universities, during 16 days of activation[1] to end violence against women and girls, under the Unite campaign. Every year, this campaign has been a key modality to for outreach and communication on sexual harassment on campus. The activation will also cover other two universities those were not part of BCPVAW.

This assignment will be commissioned to organize a day long student activation in 6 universities, with the objective to address and prevent/eliminate sexual harassment on campus; and help its survivors. The target groups identified are as follows.

  • Student community, youth leaders, academia and local community
  • University-based CSOs, local private sector and media

[1] From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. The international campaign originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women's Global Leadership in 1991. This year, the UNiTE Campaign will mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence under the overarching theme,” HearMeToo”. The theme color is orange.
