Overview : The Procurement Team of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites Firms to bid for the services of Consultancy Firm for the Conduct of Project Development and Appraisal Training - Philippines Green Climate Fund Readiness Programme. The primary objective of the Philippines Green Climate Fund Readiness Program is to support the Government of Philippines (GoP) in strengthening their national capacities to effectively and efficiently plan for, access, manage, deploy, and monitor climate financing, in particular, through the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Specifically, the Program will support capacitation and empowerment of the National Designated Authority (NDA) to the GCF including relevant partner-government agencies. The Program will also target two (2) important aspects of the GCF approach, access to funds and private sector engagement, through the selection of national/sub-national implementing entities for accreditation; and the preparation of prioritized programs/projects for submission to GCF. As part of the capacity-building of stakeholders concerning GCF, including the NDA, Technical Working Group (TWG) for GCF, nominated Direct Access Entities (DAEs), private sector and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the Climate Change Commission (CCC), with support from the GCF Readiness Programme, will undertake a Project Development and Appraisal Training for GCF. For the said training, CCC will engage a Consultancy Firm that will conduct the said activity. The abovementioned Bidding Documents are attached in the Documents Section of this Notice. Deadline for the submission of proposals is on October 24, 2018. UNDP reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals, waive any defect or informality therein, accept the proposal and award the contract to the most advantageous offer. UNDP assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify the proposer for any expense or loss that may be incurred for the preparation of proposals, nor does UNDP guarantee that an award will be made. |
