Supply, Delivery, and Installation of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems in Leyte

 

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites companies/ firms to apply for eligibility and to bid for the Supply, Delivery, and Installation of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems in Leyte.

 

The Resilience and Preparedness toward Inclusive Development (RAPID) Program is a capacity-development program in support of the long-term recovery of Local Government Units (LGUs) and communities in Yolanda-affected areas. The RAPID program aims to strengthen the approaches and actions on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) at the local level by capacitating its target LGUs and communities on disaster risk assessment and preparation for floods, rain-induced landslides and storm surges.

In this light, a service provider will be contracted for the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the multi-hazard early warning system (MHEWS) in six (6) municipalities in Leyte.

The MHEWS is composed of a network of monitoring facilities such as Automated Rain Gauge Station, Automated Water Level Stations, Automated Weather Stations, Storm Surge Stations, Warning Post Stations, LGU Access Node (Relay and Warning Stations), Multi-Hazard Early Warning System Centers and Staff Gauges.

The abovementioned event shall be accessible to all interested participants from 23 October 2018 to 19 November 2018. Deadline of submission of bids will be on 19 November 2018, 2:00p.m., Philippine Time or 1:00AM EST (New York).
