BACKGROUND:

The Cabinet has generally been the key collective decision-making body that has approved Government policies and most of the draft laws submitted to Parliament. The Cabinet has endorsed the allocation of financial and human resources to implement those policies and laws once approved. It has been the key mechanism where MACs, through their Cabinet members, are exposed to the full scope of the complex challenges facing Governments.

However, there’s a low rate of implementation of Cabinet decisions, partly because of the low quality of the policy proposals submitted to Cabinet, but also because the decisions that are implemented fail to achieve results.

In order to deliver this task for the Government of Liberia, UNDP is seeking the services of a Coordination Specialist Cabinet Affairs well versed in operational management and coordinate, ideally in a centre of government specific public sector related context
