Overview :

UNDP implements the Turkey Resilience Project in Response to the Syria Crisis, funded by the EU Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis (EUTF Fund). The Project consists of three main components: Component 1 on Employment Creation, Component 2 on Municipal Service Delivery and Component 3 on Adult Language Training. UNDP uses a resilience-based development approach which focuses on investing in existing national and local systems to ensure they can adequately serve both host and Syrian communities. One of the aimed outcomes of the resilience response under Component 2 is to strengthen capacities of the Municipalities by providing Carbon Footprint Inventory and Climate Change Action Plan, which constitutes clear and comprehensive road map for Municipalities to ensure long-term sustainable and feasible urban transformation by considering energy efficient buildings and renewable energy option in compliance with international agreements/policies and applicable standards.

In this regard, UNDP Turkey will procure technical assistance services for “Preparation of Carbon Footprint Inventory and Climate Change Action Plan for Hatay Metropolitan Municipality”.
