Round 1 of UNDP Reponse to Clarifications
Overview :

The Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy (BERA) leads UNDP in cultivating, building, and nurturing strategic relationships and alliances that are essential for advancing and successfully achieving the organization’s mission.  The UN System Affairs Group (UNSAG) within BERA leads and manages UNDP’s engagement with intergovernmental and multi-stakeholder bodies.

Together with UNDP’s Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), UNSAG provides support to the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) as part of a Joint Support Team (JST). The GPEDC brings governments, private companies, civil society, and others together to ensure funding, time and expertise produce maximum impact for development. It provides a space for political and technical dialogue around implementation of commitments on effective development cooperation and deepening the engagement of all development cooperation actors in their efforts to maximize impact.

With the assistance of a prior developer, the UNDP side of the Joint Support Team created a user-friendly, interactive data visualization and exploration tool to allow countries and their development partners to explore results from GPEDC monitoring and relevant comparable indicators from the Paris Aid Effectiveness Survey. The Global Partnership Monitoring Dashboard allows users, including governments, civil society, the private sector and others, to generate easily-understood, interactive displays to explore global progress in increasing the effectiveness of development cooperation, including through results disaggregated at the level of specific partnerships.

UNDP is seeking the assistance of a qualified firm, (the “Consultant”), to help UNDP and the GPEDC update the Monitoring Dashboard with (i) fresh data from its 2018 round of monitoring and (ii) by building out an internal backend for data manipulation (open sourced-Java-based server, allowing administrators to edit geospatial data).
