B.      Project Description

Genuine and lasting peace in the in the Muslim Mindanao region of the Philippines will require significant support, especially with regard to the implementation of the recently passed Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region or the “Bangsamoro Organic Law”. In particular, this process will have to involve young people who are increasingly taking an active role as champions for peaceful, accountable and inclusive governance, and who have been repeatedly called to be meaningful partners in finding solutions that will make a just and lasting peace in Mindanao a reality. The SDG Integrated Solutions Platform is expected to generate, integrate, and consolidate information and data which shall be useful to local policymakers and decision-makers as well as the Bangsamoro youth who will engage in discussion of issues not only on peace and security affecting them but encompass the other broad economic, social, political and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
