 UNDP Expression of interest

 Summary of requirements:

The “Inter-community Dialogue through inclusive Cultural Heritage Preservation” project, implemented by UNDP in Kosovo, aims to build through improved inter-community acceptance and respect for the cultural identity and heritage of all Kosovo communities. This will be achieved through interventions at the community and institutional levesl that instil a sense of inter-community engagement and ownership of Kosovo’s cultural heritage. The project will carry out interventions on a number of sites within Kosovo, with support from municipalities, communities, religious leaders, and other stakeholders.

The project will commence on the 01 April 2019 and shall be completed by 30 September 2019. Through the intervention of cultural and religious sites to enhance the visibility of monuments and promote the understanding and acceptance of a community’s heritage. The visual aspect of the works also encourages tourism and therefore contributes to the promotion of cultural heritage of communities. Furthermore, the physical interventions send a message to all community members that they are part of the society through acknowledging of their cultural and/or religious heritage. In the identification of potential sites due consideration is given to the confidence building aspect of the intervention.

 This Expression of Interest (EOI) is to identify qualified companies that may be interested in carrying out works for the successful implementation of the “Inter-community Dialogue through inclusive Cultural Heritage Preservation” project.

 UNDP will tender contracts covering of work in 14 different locations throughout Kosovo, including

 (i) Restoration/Rehabilitation, (ii) Adaptation and (iii) Beautification of cultural and religious sites.

Interested companies are invited to show their capacities and previous experience in the following activities:

  • Treatment of soil surfaces;
  • Vegetation planting;
  • Landscaping;
  • Gravel laying;
  • Asphalt laying;
  • Pavement laying (cobbled stones, concrete cubes, etc.);
  • Construction of retaining walls and foundations (reinforced concrete);
  • Stone carving;
  • Woodworks;
  • Roof works;
  • Masonry works;
  • Public lighting electrification;
  • Urban furniture placement;
  • Water and sanitation work and;
  • Drainage works

 

When expressing their interest, companies are encouraged to include a combination of the above-mentioned works.

 The EOI will serve as market research for the procurement of works and services, which will be launched on April 2019.

  Minimum information

 Profile of the company and year of incorporation, business registration and VAT number.

 Previous experience: The company should list relevant previous experience over the past 5 years.

 Staff: The company should provide the list of staff (including CVs) including: Architects, Civil, electrical, mechanical, water and sanitation engineers, etc.

 List of equipment: The company should provide list of owned/rented equipment.

 Turnover: The interested company should indicate their turnover over the past 5 years.  

 Location: Please indicate the geographic locations for all previous experience.

 Quality certificates: please list any valid quality certifications the company has received.

 Submission details

 Interested companies are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (hereafter EOI), with the provision of information indicating that they are qualified to perform the works (brochure, portfolio description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, staff CVs,).

 The EOI and accompanying documents must be received in a sealed envelope no later than 13 March 2019 at 17:00 clearly labeled “EOI - Inter-community Dialogue through inclusive Cultural Heritage Preservation project” at UNDP Kosovo office, “Zagrebi” street, No. 58, 10000 Pristina, Kosovo

 Invitations to bid and any subsequent purchase order will be issued in accordance with the rule and procedures of UNDP

 This EOI does not entail any commitment on the part of UNDP, either financial or otherwise. UNDP reserve the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant/s of the grounds.
