Overview : This assignment offers an opportunity to research: scoping, analytics and mapping of existing initiatives and activities around the world at the nexus of livelihoods for displaced people and/or certain migrants, and digitalization. This Migrant Nations initiative aims to catalyze broad, systemic change in the understanding, approach, and practice of securing and sustaining livelihood opportunities for displaced people. It seeks to do this by leveraging a rapidly evolving world of work, driven in significant part by a changing technological landscape, in demonstrating the potential, and thereby spurring others, to open up livelihood opportunities for displaced people globally. The initiative began in the fall of 2018 and is now entering its second, prototyping phase, with research, prototyping, and community engagement work being pursued along the thematic axes of livelihood opportunities & rights, digital ID, participation, and global citizenship.
